I’m a Dutch-Iranian Artist based in Holland.
I am concerned with how atmosphere, history and space rhyme with the viewer. In a Solo Exhibition at Thankstation (January, 2023), I showed an installation/performance that was entirely about women in Iran. The title of the work was "Anar" which means pomegranate, the pomegranate is a symbolic fruit in Iran that represents fertility. In the performance the women were connected, the hair was braided together and they picked the seeds from the fruit. Storytelling, poetry and theatre are an important part in the culture of Iran.
